"A story about the friendship between a dog and his human, of love, friendship, and lost; the extent people go for the ones that they love."
The Good:
Great story telling. The creators had it right when they told the story through the eyes of the dog, Ringo. From the beginning up to the cliffhanger, the life of Ringo and his human, Jude, was beautifully laid out before our eyes.
The Bad:
Further improvements on how the human character's head should be drawn is suggested. Especially, whenever the character turns his/her head in another direction.
The splash page after the end of part 1 of the story baffles me. I'm not quite sure if it is an extra scene from the story or a comedic break or a random scene that has a dog on it.
The Verdict:
The inner love for your dog (or any other pets that you take care such as cats, birds, and spiders) would come out, as the story of Ringo and Jude leave a gash in one's heart. Their love story would leave us tearful towards the end of this comic.
I must say that this work really caught me off guard. Who would have known that this comic can make the reader be emotionally attached to its characters. It is strong enough to feel their pain and their loss.
Love In The Dog Pound delivers a striking scene, about the strength of friendship and love, that a dog would give to his human.
Be sure to prepare your hearts for this touching story from Komiket University. I didn't know comics as short as this could be such a tearjerker to read.
