It's back! National Book Store once again gives us the 3 day Philippine Literary Festival. The event will be held at Raffles Makati from August 28-30, 2015. No entrance fee is needed for all of the different events that will be conducted. All that needs to be done is to sign up at the registration table, which starts at 9:00 a.m. The venues can accommodate limited guests, so seats are on a first come first served basis.
Venue Capacity:
- Buenavista Function Room ~ 40 guests
- Namayan Function Room ~ 60 guests
- Ballroom 1 ~ 250 guests
- Ballroom 2 ~ 300 guests
The foreign writers that will be present are Meg Wolitzer and Matthew Quick. Meg Wolitzer is the author of The Interestings, Belzhar and The Ten-Year Nap who will be present at Ballroom 1 on August 29 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Matthew Quick who wrote The Silver Linings Playbook, The Good Luck of Right Now, and Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock will be present at Ballroom 2 on August 30 from 2:00-5:00 p.m.
There will be two (2) new books to be launched at the event. August 29 will be the launch date of Hue Can Do It! with various Filipino Illustrators (Summit Books) and Geekology by Jay Tablante.
Be sure to come early. Keep in mind LIMITED VENUE CAPACITY!
