A few more days before Winter Komikon 2014 and there is still a big event that is being held before it. The 5th Philppine International Literary and Book Industry Summit (PILF-BIS) was organized by the National Book Development Board. The main theme for this event is The Pressing Issue: Sustainable Publishing Amid ASEAN Integration.
There are a lot of events that will be held at PILF-BIS which will occur from November 12-14, 2014 at the Bayanihan Center, Pioneer Street, Pasig City. Entrance fee will be Php. 150 per day so its a total of Php. 450 for the whole event. But don't worry since this event is free for students and teachers. Just be sure to present a valid I.D. A 20% discount is also given to group registration of more than 10. The senior citizen's discount is also applicable.

Thus, like in Aklatan last year, we are given different schedules of book signings and remarkable 4 book launches. That includes Tabi Po 2 by Mervin Malonzo and Mythspace by Chikiamco, Koi, Quiroga, Gregorio, Dimagiba, Chua, and Sinaban.

Visprint will also hold a sale for all of their books except for those that are going to be launched.
This is a nice side event for comic lovers before the grand event of Komikon 2014. Try to check out this event first.
