School Run was initially created by Macoy and lasted for 7 issues, School Run Part 7 titled as Casualties of War! was the last issue. The last issue was a total cliffhanger since no follow-up issues was released afterwards.
This surprise collaboration between Macoy and Ardie Aquino, creator of Random! Comics and Ang Roomate Kong Aswang!, makes it clear that they want to finish this story and want a new generation of comic-readers be exposed to this wonderful story crafted years ago.
No further details if this will follow the stories of Robert, Maki, Pipoy and the rest of the gang as they survive the zombie typhoon headed towards their school bus, or if it will be a fresh story that will just use the same concept.
This was set to be released at Summer Komikon 2020, but has been postponed at a later date.

"Per and her older sister Elena are both knights in the land of Esterpike. But while Per is a mere knight-in-training, Elena is a war hero and the revered commander of the most famous soldiers in all the land, the legendary Lions of Esterpike. When disaster strikes, Per must do the unthinkable and pretend to be her sister in order to travel to the capital and rally the troops against an incoming invasion that only she knows about. It'll take all her strength, cunning, and a bit of help from her sister's second-in-command, Amelia, to pull it off but with the fate of the people in her hands, Per has no choice but to step into Elena's boots in order to save the kingdom."

Indieket 2016 had a lot of new experiences to share. One of those was this creative way of advertising a new comics that will soon join the market of Komikon.
Stories Of Limbo is the new comic that is uniquely advertised by a guy with a guitar (I think). He randomly approaches a comiccon goer, giving them fliers and enumerating the plot of this new comic. The guys behind this comic sure had a supportive and brave friend for doing all that marketing for this future comic.
Stories Of Limbo is a fantasy adventure indie comic that tells the lives of a colorful cast of characters in a mysterious world. This was created by Jason Villamiel and JC San Mateo.
We will just have to wait and see how the Stories Of Limbo get the attention of the crowd once it arrives in Komikon.
The announcement came from Arnold Arre's Facebook (FB) post last week, August 29, about a new comic book that will be released soon by Nautilus Comics.
Busilak, a Filipino fantasy graphic novel, is the new comic book to watch out from Nautilus Comics.
On Arre's FB post, he uploaded 10 preview pages wherein the scene of Dr. Luis Kabukiran Ibarra recounting his previous visit to the seventh moon was shown.
No additional information about the release date of the book was mentioned.

The creator of the 34th National Book Award for Graphic Literature in Filipino, Tabi Po ~ Volume 1, has posted on his Facebook account the titles of the books he has lined up for us.
The titles of the books are; Tabi Po ~ Isyu 3, Ang Supersibo 2, and Makina. The first 2 are the next volume of a series published by Visprint, Inc. and Anino Comics respectively. Meanwhile, the third book remains a mystery as to what could it be about and the publisher who will distribute it to us once this book is finished.
He also mentioned of a project that he has been working with Karl De Mesa (author of News of the Shaman, Report From the Abyss and Radiant Void Reportage). No further details if it is a comic book that they are working on or if Malonzo is going to do the book cover of Karl De Mesa's upcoming book.
Mervin Malonzo's works are definitely worth it. His wonderful paintings reduced down into a book is definitely unique among the current local comics that we see. A beautiful portrait placed on a book for all of us to enjoy everywhere.
